WVSPORTS.COM West Virginia Mountaineers basketball could use more three guard lineups

Culver was pretty good at passing for a big.

From what I heard and seen Oscar probably is the most developed big in the country this year. Just supposedly doesn't have the upside of the others.
Don't know where his passing is at.

But for them to run that lineup I guess you need both of them to be decent passers.

I actually like WV going even smaller and having Haley as the 4.
His wingspan is big enough to not lose much.
Especially if Oscar is a defensive presence.

I’m fairly sure no one, including Huggins, knows what this team will look like until 10 games into the season. Hugs will figure out the strengths and weaknesses and coach accordingly.

Why game six? Not a magical number. Think he will go into the season knowing style and who can execute. Last year was never decided...like a school yard pickup tourney.

Maybe game 6 but my point was the new kids and rotation will take game action to figure things out. 6, 8 or 10 games seems reasonable to me.

They get a couple of easy wins to start the season in Akron and Pitt.
Then they have a trip to Cancun.
Northern Iowa is usually a decent squad.
They play S Carolina or Wichita State.
Not an easy game. The Shockers can run. Huggins will need to have the Backcourt together by that game.
