--West Virginia head coach Neal Brown said you never should lose a game up 10 with fewer than five minutes to go.

--Pitt got second and 30 plus and they did not cover the pass well. West Virginia got pressure on them and they slipped out. They didn't cover and he was not fired up about it.

--Brown said they had a good play on the first down on the final drive but they missed a block at the point of attack. They missed a crack block that they didn't make. The second down play is what it was and you make them use their timeouts. On the third down play, he wants to see it but he felt they had some guys open.

--Brown said that they had two missed assignments on the punt block. He said he was extremely disappointed on the holding call on Milum and he wants it explained to him.

--West Virginia didn't make plays in the pass game and a lot of them were scrambles. They have a first read, check downs and they scrambled. They did not make plays on the ball. They had a chance to make plays on a pick six. They didn't play the deep ball well. When it happens three weeks in a row it is what it is.

--West Virginia played four guys at cornerback and it felt really bad watching it on the sidelines but it's hard to assess the personnel until you go back and watch it.

--The personnel is the personnel.

--Without question, this one is bad or worse you're up 10 points.

--Brown said he thinks Narduzzi commenting on the officials that they beat them and West Virginia. "That's bullshit."

--The quarterback scrambled and they had

--You're 1-2 and they've earned that they didn't execute in the last five minutes of the game and they had nine conference games and they have to figure out ways to win. This isn't over and they have to fight their tail off and next week they're playing a team that's in the same spot.

--West Virginia was good and not great. He felt they could have won it on offense as poorly as they played.

--The officials said they grabbed him and threw him down on the holding call, but Brown said it was a great block.

--Straw's call on the keeper. That's when they had the play called back.

--They're talked through both scenarios up 10 or up 3 with the offense on the sidelines. There was never a point he felt comfortable.

--The last series was not great. The first one they had a chance but should have thrown it and catch and run. They had 30 seconds to go and had to score a touchdown so you had to get chunk plays.

--Desmond Reid is a good player but they tackled him and played the run nicely.

--West Virginia said they had a hurt locker room and they invested a lot but Garrett Greene did a lot of good things and competed.
