--West Virginia head coach Neal Brown wishes everybody a happy Thanksgiving. This is a good week of the year so it's football and eating.

--After going back and watching the film, Kansas State is a good football team. West Virginia competed and played hard, but they didn't execute. Special teams was the most disappointing. Struggled on PAT and field goal unit. What makes it hard to understand is they've played well all year. Kickoff coverage didn't rise to the challenge. Offensively, they did some positive things and ran the ball well but you can't turn it over. They had two critical drives where if they can produce points it would have been different. Couldn't get off the field on third down on defense and started bad but played better with fundamentals and execution.

--Early kick for Oklahoma State, first 11 a.m. kick of the year. They are experiencing some adversity in the second half of the season and they've had a lot of injuries but played a lot better at home. Their kickoff and kickoff return units are some of the best in the league. Offensively it's the same system they've been running for a long time and they want to establish the run. As Spencer Sanders goes this offense goes. They've got several talented skill guys and defensively they are multiple. A lot of different fronts and it starts up front for them. They are going to pressure and play man coverage on the back end of the defense.

--This is the last game and they're thankful for the opportunity to finish the season on the right note. Brown is dealing with whatever happens, when it happens next week. You have to deal with it that way and you have to worry about where your feet are and you can't worry about what happens next week. They full expect as a staff to finish in the right manner.

--Garrett Greene is going to start. There are some good things he did and some things he has to improve on. He does some things you can't teach. Some of it is as a coach, they have to be comfortable with a little bit of unknown. There are times he makes really bad plays and other times really good but he has to be coached so he has fewer and fewer bad decisions. Every play isn't going to be a 70-yard touchdown or 40-yard run. It's OK to throw the hitch and move the chains.

--This is a really tough week for young football players. They're going to travel more players and be intentional about guys getting in the game. They're discussing whether Nicco Marchiol can get in the game.

--Raleigh Collins has been injured, but they will hold him out so he can redshirt.

--Oklahoma State is good up front and they create some match up issues.

--Offensive line wise outside the Iowa State game and one other game, they've played at a high level. You're seeing Jaylen Anderson put it together. He is talented and he'll get some more work this week and he is excited about his growth potential.

--It's all how you look at it. Brown always has his players think back to when they're a young kid and you're going to go play in front of 60,000 and play power five football at the highest level you'd be pretty excited so what's changed? Finishing says a lot about who you are. Brown doesn't think they'll have a problem with their guys playing hard.

--Brown said it would be premature to really look at it all. They haven't been as consistent offensively as they had the potential to be. Defensively they have struggled defending the pass and giving up explosive plays.

--Brown thinks you can rationalize anything in your life. They've had some chances to win games and they couldn't win them. The margin for error in this league is really small. He doesn't try to rationalize what has happened but hasn't had a chance to self-evaluate and reflect. He won't make excuses it's about what went wrong and what they have to do to get better.

--Legg changed holders due to injury so any little change up has an effect and his swing didn't look the same against Kansas State. He stays level headed.

--Brown talked to the officials and he still strongly disagrees with how they stopped the play.

--The only thing you run into with travel roster expansion is just making sure there are more seats on the charter.

--Brown will be ready next week, try to get in front of it with the new dead period where the portal open and will have conversations with the players. The best players will have options. The NIL is never going away but when you look at it college athletics missed the boat because they didn't share revenue and it comes down to greed.

--Kaden Prather should play this week.

--Brown doesn't have any senior players that should bypass the game.

You. Know. What. The. Right. Thing. To. Do. Is. Neal.

Why didn't Neal ever offer constructive criticism to Doege in his press conferences? Or JT Daniels? It seems like Greene is the only player Neal will be honest about.

In other words: Greene improvised on the 71 TD strike to James and under the surface it upset Neal, along with many other great improvised plays made by Greene in the first half. At halftime Neal got on Greene's case for straying from the weak game plan Neal came up with, and Greene responded by listening to him and having a way less exciting 2nd half.

Neal Brown holds his own offense back. If the new AD keeps this clown around another year, then he's already making poor decisions from the getgo. Brown must go

The AD cannot make that unilateral decision to fire Brown when there is that much on the table. Any AD coming into this situation would want Brown gone.
