--West Virginia head coach Neal Brown said a productive fall camp and are ready to kick off the season.

--Pittsburgh was ACC Champions last year and Pat Narduzzi has built a good program.

--Pittsburgh special teams is solid, while the offense has a lot of playmakers. There is a ton of talent on the defensive side of things. They have a lot of talent

--JT Daniels will be the starting quarterback. It was clear that Daniels had earned the right but the battle for the backup is still ongoing. He likes the young guys that they have. There is a lot of unknowns heading into the opener, but for Daniels it will be his first game here but he has had a lot of starts at the power five level. He has played in big games so the atmosphere shouldn't rattle him. He is accurate and thrown the ball downfield accurate.

--Brown likes the makeup of all four of his quarterbacks. Daniels is really even keel and doesn't get too high or too low. He shows a lot of maturity and he has been through it. He has been successful and the fact he has played in big games helps, too. He's had some really high highs and some really low, lows and when he arrived here he was a very mature player that is hungry. He fits the rest of the team that wants to do the same.

--If you're looking at the positions, Brown expects to play seven up front. They'll play five or six range at wide receiver, three running backs and three tight ends. They expect to play 8 to 10 at DL, 2 at spear and four linebackers. Who is going to start at certain spots will go down to game day, but who is going to play has been decided.

--They used two scrimmages in two weeks to make a determination for the starting job.

--Sam James isn't going to get all the returns but he will get some opportunities.

--They need to play this game with emotion, but not emotional.

--They're trying to stop the run defensively. They want to limit that and make you one dimensional. That has been a staple of the program and one of their top priorities.

--CJ Donaldson is going to be worked in to get involved at the running back spot.

--It isn't the big plays that win openers, it's the teams that don't make the big mistakes. You don't have anything to go on in college football for an opener and teams can lose games.

--Nothing of major concern on the injury front. Mike O'Laughlin will play in the game.

--Whether Garrett Greene will be used is a game-by-game standpoint. He is a really good athlete, but going into each game will be different and the flow as well.

--They won't have all the twos out there together at any point, but want to mix them in with some veterans.

--Graham Harrell will call it and he just wants to be a resource for him. They had two scrimmages to work through issues.

--Freshmen offensive linemen will redshirt, but the rest could be decided throughout the year on special teams.

It's undecided who is the #2 QB but whether GG will be used is a game-by-game thing and he says GG is a really good athlete. That tells me that GG may be used somewhere other than QB at some point.
