--Kansas State is very similar to the 2018-19 West Virginia team. They struggled early but they have grown up a lot. They’ve won three games in the last few weeks and are playing really well.

--The young players for Kansas State are playing well. They are getting to the foul line, they have guys that can make shots and can bounce it and are playing better defensively. It’s similar to playing Virginia you’re not going to get much inside the three-point line.

--The next four is similar to playing in the conference tournament. A lot of guys are familiar with it. The conference tournament they’ll have three games. They can do everything humanely possible to try to stay fresh after these games to stay ready for the stretch run.

--Kansas State guard Nijel Pack is back in the lineup and can make shots. He can shoot it off the bounce, off the catch or with range. He is good at driving it to the basket and stopping it before he gets swallowed up with size and getting the ball over top of people. Huggins likes what he brings to the table.

--Preparation is not as difficult as you think. They’ll talk about the plans and then walk through them. They’ll have a written scouting report, they can read it and watch it then put it into practice.

--West Virginia is better in transition than they were. They worked on the lob passes earlier because they had bigs that can run. But it’s not the same team now so they haven’t worked on it as much so if you’re going to do it you have to work on it. He wants to cover what they need to cover and get them off the floor so he doesn’t want to have them out there for three hours.

--Kansas did a really good job of managing COVID-19 because they’ll be done after Saturday. Bob believes that it would be hard for anybody to do better than the Big 12 has done with scheduling games at the back end of the slate. Huggins said that some teams for Baylor would be easier than others so he doesn’t know how he feels about them playing less games than everybody else and possibly winning the league. But he told his guys at the beginning of the year that the teams that are successful would be the ones that manage this situation the best.

--Deuce McBride was able to get off his feet after the TCU game. He’s a little dinged up but he’ll be fine. He took a lot of hits in football so he’s used to it.

--The Fish Fry has been good. It’s something he picked up at Kansas State and they cleared $860,000 last year.
