--WR's coach Bilal Marshall says it's been an exciting camp and they've made a lot of progress over the last two weeks. Jarel Williams, Cortez Braham, EJ Horton have been making an impact and have been surprising, can't wait for Sept. 2nd.

--Braham has made a big jump this summer, as a receiver and has figured out his workload, he's playing at a high level. He's taken on his new, bigger role, well.

--Devin Carter has put the work in and has fixed parts of his game. Guys joke around with Carter that he's the leader in the WR room, he's made a lot of strides and Marshall is excited.

--You'll see a "lightning bolt" in the WR room this season in terms of speed.

--Marshall tells the guys. that nothing is ever set in stone. The guys that are hot are the ones who are going to play. Marshall wants to promote open competition every day, but he thinks the main core is really good.

--Marshall wants to rotate in 6 receivers to rotate, but he thinks there are 8-9 solid players in the room.

--Freshmen WR's Traylon Ray & Rodney Gallagher are right where Marshall expected him, they've been impressive and intelligent and have a knack for playing the position. Gallagher is tougher and a better blocker than expected. Rodney has special traits with his charisma, and he is free and loose when he plays. Marshall is excited about him.

--Marshall says Devin Carter and Cortez Braham have been the two most consistent players, Braham has turned it up recently.

--Didn't have enough explosive plays in the first scrimmage from the WR's. Marshall wants to create explosive plays, and take care of the rest of the team by blocking and doing their job.

--Blocking by WR's has been awesome, especially with the two mobile QB's.

--The scrimmages help Marshall see the big picture, and how the holistic approach of the offense is working.

--Marshall's #1 concern is experience in the moment. It's his job to keep them level-headed. He's not worried about athleticism at all. They need experience and how things move in the game.

--WR Noah Massey has done some good things as well, and he's good at blocking, catching over the middle, and can have a big role.

--The goal next week is to narrow down the group and "go," focus on Penn State and prepare for them.

--Ja'Sean Poke is good with the ball in his hands and is in competition for the returner position. They want to get the ball in his hands in open space.

--Jeremiah Aaron is extremely athletic, and had one of his better days today, Marshall wants him to play faster more often. Preston Fox is like a Honda Accord to Marshall, won't break down on you and is reliable as a WR.

--Marshall says the ways he talks to players and coaches can be the best way to get players ready for the big moments at Penn State, Marshall tries to create visualizations for the players in the big moments. That's how he's talking to the players in practice.

--Hudson Clement has a role on this team and he's made big strides this summer. He's always smiling and he plays really hard.

--Defensive line coach Andrew Jackson says the DL has looked really good and consistent and guys can fit into their roles with many different body types. This group is trying to be physical and their mentality is hard work. Feels like this team has 9-10 players that are great and can be superstars. There's a lot of depth with this group compared to past seasons.

--Jackson is not proud of last year's film, and the group wants to compete and prove themselves. DL Mike Lockhart is in shape now and he's beginning to get closer to his potential.

--Smaller DL must be technicians according to Jackson when they're undersized.

--There's no better way to motivated by big moments than Penn State, so he's got to get them ready for that moment and be motivated by proving themselves.

--Eddie Vesterinen has been the most consistent guy for the DL group according to Jackson. Vesterinen plays at a teachable level. DayDay Hawkins has been a spark plug and a vocal guy for the group.

--The rotations will change this season and parts of the playbook will change for different guys. Jackson has spot with Lesley on what they need to do with rotations.

--Sean Martin has been playing for so long, so after injury it won't affect his confidence. Martin can play inside and out, Vesterinen can play NT and DT. Lockhart plays both Nose Tackle and Defensive Tackle. Jackson wants to throw Taurus Simmons, Zequi Lawton, and others in the mix in the scrimmage.

--Pass rush will have to be built up with Dante's departure, but there's guys with potential to be on that level. Combinations are key, so many guys will play lots of different spots.

--With rotation, it makes the players compete and go against the best C in the country everyday, Zach Frazier and a good group of offensive lineman.

--Consistency, physicality, and guys running to the ball are his three biggest keys this season.
