In head-to-head matchups over the last 2 seasons:

Williams:

Game 1 (2/8/14): 12 minutes, 4 points, 6 rebounds

Game 2 (3/8/14): 34 minutes, 22 points, 13 rebounds

Game 3 (2/16/15): 26 minutes, 8 points, 4 rebounds

Game 4 (3/3/15): 28 minutes, 9 points, 6 rebounds

AVERAGE: 25 minutes, 11 points, 7 rebounds

Ellis:

Game 1 (2/8/14): 21 minutes, 8 points, 5 rebounds

Game 2 (3/8/14): 25 minutes, 14 points, 5 rebounds

Game 3 (2/16/15): 32 minutes, 19 points, 5 rebounds

Game 4 (3/3/15): 17 minutes, 4 points, 1 rebound

AVERAGE: 24 minutes, 11 points, 4 rebounds

I don't know if it's possible for Williams to improve from year 2 to year 3 as much as he did from year 1 to year 2. Just about every aspect of his game seemed light years ahead of his freshmen year, including but not limited to knocking down 15 footers with some consistency. If he improves half as much next year he will give any opposing player headaches.

Like I said, Williams has his work cut-out for him........ playing to draw is O.K., but the mission and objective is to win these battles.

The improvement of the team offense would help Devin a lot. Floor spacing and making a higher percentage of 3 point shots will keep more teams honest and keep double teams off him. He needs to play with a chip on his shoulder all the time like he did toward the end of the year. He does need to work on passing the ball to the open man and identifying double teams as well as work on his defense. If he improves like he did over the last year he will be dominant. I'm not sure he would benefit from gaining anymore weight. Just think of what a nightmare match up he would be if he could hit three pointers with consistency.
