Week 1 Coaches Poll is out....

Is MVU still han
UM is my team. I also root for the Herd, due to that being WVU's biggest rival, despite the FACT you're afraid to play them.
12-0 in football, won last 5 and 9 of 10 in men's basketball, 11 in a row in women's basketball, 2-0 in baseball. Hell our first year men's golf team beat MVU in your own invitational. I challenged you turds to name the last sports victory MVU has over WVU. Got nothing from you. WVU has dominated MVU every time in every thing but you think we are afraid of MVU. That is like saying Michigan is afraid of Western Michigan. The facts do not support you. Of coarse they never do.

Since you emphasize the word FACT..........here's some FACTS for you, two teamer. Marshall has only played major opponents 45 times in their entire history and lost 37 of those games - 12 of those losses were to WVU. Of the 7 wins over majors only three times did the team Marshall beat finish the year with a winning record.

It was your people who wanted out of playing us, that's why they delivered the home and home or none "threat", a ridiculous demand that they knew we'd never agree to.

That's a false narrative and tall tale originating out of some holler in Mingo County. It's right up there with the chicken suit myth. Major rivalries are always played on a home/home basis, and you boys should have the gonads to follow suit. Granted, there's the Florida-Georgia rivalry that's played annually on a neutral field, so we would be open to a similar setup. How about opening week at Nicholas Memorial Stadium in Summersville? Seats about 8,000 fans, so it should be adequate, due to the Herd only having 17 fans (or so I've read), coupled with the myth that WVU fans don't care about the game, so surely you wouldn't fill up the other 7,983 seats, right?

Marshall - WVU is NOT a major rivalry........at least outside of Cabell County. We don't need you, stop whining about it.

Like basketball, when the football series didn't deliver on the money, that is the reason both schools went in different directions (while blaming the other school). Only once did it make a national/cable network broadcast. That was a conference USA contract game. The Big East was not interested in using a TV slot on a game that not very many fans across the country would tune into. The payouts were low and the game never got near the level IN THE STATE OF WVA of enthusiasm like USC-UCLA, Alabama-Auburn, etc that the WV sports writers thought and said it would.

I am really looking forward to that home home series between Western Michigan and Michigan. Makes as much sense as a WVU MVU series.
