Bill Stewart was a helluva recruiter. You can't deny him that.

Also, it's never been clearer, you can not compete for championships without a talented dual threat QB these days. The good coaches will adapt, if they haven't already

Ohio St looking like a pretender. Clemson making them look like the inept team they were when they limped into the playoffs, This one has the potential to be a severe a** kicking.

Nevermind the football...you said it yourself in a previous thread goof...

Paper...you should know better than to point out anything that seems to indicate that the current HC could do a better job at anything...or that BS did a decent job at anything. Or, at least you should know better when it comes to north-of-the-border dude-eer. The "cold, Canadian air" has him a bit narrow minded lol.

But Stewart could not win the Big East with them. Go figure.

I just love it when the basement dwellers rag on BS and what he couldn't do...maybe it is because DH has done so much...hasn't he? Just wonderin'

Paper..........how many years has gone by since that game that you so vividly recall? Clemson is loaded with cash and has all the tools. They left WVU in the dust. Dabo Sweeney is a happy man these days. He has his team playing for NC's and his bank had to add a room on just to accommodate the gold that Dabo is rolling in. He's laughing every time the camera puts him in the eye. I'm wrong? Check it out. Dabo say it's all about LOVE. Catch that?

Funny how it was only Stewart who recruited those players and not the other staff members.

I guess it took a good coach to maximize that talent considering Dana came in and in his first year he won a Big East Championship and set a BCS record in points.

Yes we are all glad Stewart was an underachiever. Yes! Touchdown!

I sure do miss Ol Bill

Wtf. I am embarrassed for you guys.

I just said Stew was a great recruiter. Look at how many of his guys are in the NFL - where talent is all scouts look for, not well coached kids. Nobody said shot about dana. Let it go.

Come on folks...we should celebrate the fact that DH won third place in a down year in the Big 12-2=10! I mean really it is the type of achievement that will go down in the hallowed halls of bar rooms all around the Mountain state. Let's here it now...we're number three, we're number three, we're number three...

Rather win than brag about how many recruits went to the NFL. Think about this...if so many were that great and a coach can't consistently win what does that say? lol

This is in no way, shape or form the same Clemson team. Your statement says more about the lack of talent Clemson had at the moment than what we had (and we were talented).

Clemson is basically a distant suburb to Atlanta which some say right now is the hottest recruiting geographical area in the country right now. And in the High Schools everyone is talking about Clemson these days. Wasn't the case back then.

Also Venebeles has done a masterful job there.

When it comes to recruiting I'll still take SE Fla, Duval County(Jacksonville) Harris County(Houston) and Southern California over Atlanta Metro.

Also Clemson is more of a suburb of Charlotte than Atlanta.

the thing is Debo acts like a CEO type and makes changes as he goes along and he said he did a lot of self reflection after that game and to go to the next level some changes needed to be make

Agreed to disagree on the areas but Saban himself has said Metro Atlanta is top in his book. Southern California is definitely top, but much more geographically challenging.

If venture to bet more Clemson grads move to Atlanta than Charlotte.
