Watched the KU game again. Man, those phantom calls hurt us.

Big XII refs work hard to keep every single game close; must have some kind of memo from the league office: "Thou shalt not let the point margin of a men's basketball game exceed 8 points."

They worked their butts off on Tuesday night; there were several plays at the start of the second half that were totally phantom, including two 3-point plays where the defender merely ran in front of a guy making a layup and were called for a foul. I used to think Big East refs were bad, but they look like seasoned pros next to the group we have to tolerate now. At least Big East refs understood what an actual contact foul was and how not to interrupt the flow of a game constantly.

They didn't seem to mind when Oklahoma, Texas and Baylor were giving us 20+ point butt smackings. I think the 'storied programs' get better calls, and everyone (Usually) fares better at home.
