I was able to speak a little bit more with Quinton Spain this morning about signing with the Tennessee Titans. He reports for rookie mini camp this week. He told me of course he has a chip on his shoulder because he felt like he should have been drafted. A few teams called him late in the draft, but if he wasn't drafted, he always thought he would sign with Tennessee. The Titans actually had him invited for a private visit prior to seeing him at his pro day, so Spain said that he really like that Tennessee showed interest in him even after Spain failed to get an invite to the combine. At the private visit, Spain was able to meet both the GM, Ruston Webster and the head coach, Ken Whisenhunt, who both made him feel really comfortable. Spain says he looks at his situation very similar to that of former Mountaineer and current Green Bay Packers' offensive lineman Don Barclay, who also went undrafted.
