Biloxi (Miss.) safety Elijah Sabbatini put West Virginia in his top eight yesterday along with schools like Louisville, Indiana and Kansas but told me that the Mountaineers have been recruiting him hard. Sabbatini took a virtual visit to West Virginia yesterday and told me it was very informative as he was able to get a look at all the facilities on campus. He said that defensive line coach Jordan Lesley has been recruiting him hard and they have been in touch basically every day. Sabbatini said he plans to take a real visit to Morgantown once the dead period ends and is excited to see what comes next with the process. The Mountaineers are targeting him as a versatile safety or linebacker and love what he can do fitting in at multiple spots.
