VA HS football recruiting by us??

Virginia is one of THE best places to recruit HS football talent in the nation...
In this link is a list of the Top 15 recruits for next spring...and nowhere is WVU involved in any of these guys. Marshall is on a couple, but we're nowhere to be found. I don't understand it...We should have one guy doing nothing but watching games in Northern Virginia and another doing nothing but watching games in the Tidewater.

The 2015 list...we had one guy from Colonial Forge (Stafford), which is a pretty good football school in a really good football town...but that team alone had several other D-1s there...

I find it hard to believe WVU couldn't pull at least one of those guys you flagged above. Still...we have amazingly little presence in Virginia - especially Northern Virginia - which is a quick drive to a home game and where WVU's largest alumni base rests. I watched Westfield play Centreville twice last year. There were more Division 1 players on the field between those two teams than the state of WV puts out in any single year. Beamer used to have a great pipeline to Centreville and western Fairfax and he got a lot of good linemen there, but now Florida State, Penn State and some SEC schools have come in and taken a good portion of the kids he used to get. It's an opportunity, especially now that Beamer's chair might be getting a little warmer than he'd like. One of kids for Centreville went to Spurrier and another is the starting RT as a true freshman at Vandy.

Beamer will never resign his head coaching position at Virginia Tech. Who in their right mind wouldn't wait until they were forced off the golden throne? He will make the megabucks until the day he is dragged out kicking and screaming. Tech will then give him a huge buyout to help soothe his pain.

Best player in the state went to Jimbo..Sweat of Oscar Smith..he starts as a true frosh.

Well, we have never done very well here and since I've lived here for 30 years, I don't think we ever will. The kids here aren't into WVU like the ACC. It's been big time here for a long time.We do well elsewhere and our resourses are better spent there.
