MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced updated parking information for the remainder of the baseball season, beginning with the Pitt game on Tuesday, May 12, at 6 p.m.
A limited amount of free parking will now be available in the parking lot at the WVU Healthcare University Town Centre facility adjacent to Monongalia County Ballpark. Parking in the WVU Healthcare lot will be available to WVU baseball fans beginning at 5 p.m. for the Tuesday, Thursday and Friday games and at noon for the Saturday game. Fans can access a map of available parking at the facility, online at http://www.wvusports.com/content/files/General/WVUHealthcareParking.pdf.
Additionally, a limited amount of free parking is still available along the roadway directly outside the ballpark. Fans can access this parking by continuing past Wal-Mart and entering the ballpark site at the construction gate entrance. WVU parking staff will be present to direct fans on where to park.
Free parking also will remain available for fans at many of the University Town Centre businesses closest to the ballpark including Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Target, Ashley Furniture Home Store, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Giant Eagle.
All parking at these participating locations is available along the perimeter of the individual lots. WVU baseball fans are asked to be respectful of the customers at each of the retail locations identified and not park in the interior sections of the lots reserved for customers.
At Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club, the exterior spots for fans are striped with white paint, while the interior parking spaced for customers are striped with yellow paint. At Giant Eagle, available spots are located at the perimeter of its lot closest to GetGo.
