I commented this time last year about the Johnson kid from Jefferson High after winning the Randy Moss award. Johnson is almost 6 ft 3 inches and is about 200 lbs. He runs a high 4.5 forty. The kid had a bad senior season due in part to not having a QB. After being pushed by college coaches he started playing DB during the season. He looked good on defense but his inability to get the ball on offense impacted his attitude some which translated into poor body language. It was reported in the local newspaper this week that he will be playing at Towson State next year. The kid is D1 talent but their is more to playing at that level then just being big and running fast. WVU fully vetted the kid, had him in several times and gave him looks at camp. I think his best position at the D1 level was safety but at Towson he will play WR. He moved here from the Baltimore area so he will be going home to a certain degree. The WVU coaches need to be given credit, and you never know something could still work out.
