Rock Hill (S.C.) Northwestern 2023 wide receiver Elijah Caldwell told me that he loved his visit to West Virginia and was really impressed with basically everything. He spent a ton of time with wide receivers coach Tony Washington and offensive coordinator Graham Harrell and they let him know that he is a major priority for them in this recruiting class. He is being targeted as an outside wide receiver with the possibility to move around and he really liked what he heard about the scheme and how they could utilize him. He was hosted by wide receiver Jarel Williams and said that he really meshed with all of the players and felt comfortable on campus. Caldwell said he will be making his college decision July 1 and it is basically down to the Mountaineers and Utah where he previously took an official visit to last weekend. The Mountaineers did a lot to impress him this weekend but now they await his decision next Friday.
