Douglasville (Ga.) Douglas County defensive end Zachariah Keith told me that he is down to West Virginia, Mississippi State and Buffalo with a decision coming Dec. 21. The Mountaineers efforts are led by inside linebackers coach Jeff Koonz as well as defensive line coach AJ Jackson and he has been talking to them since he was a junior. Keith was initially committed to Georgia Tech but backed off that due to the coaching change and the Mountaineers have turned up the heat even more. He has a close connection with the pair of Mountaineers assistants and is excited to get to campus for an official visit Dec. 2-4 to spend more time with them. He will head to Mississippi State the following weekend after that trip before deciding on which school he wants to attend. Keith told me that he is being targeted as a defensive end, but one of the things that has drawn him to the program is the flexibility of the scheme and how he can play multiple positions.
