complete ass welding! I didn't think we'd win C-USA this year due to youth but we weren't even competitive. Can't see it getting much better in 2017 as there does not appear to be any difference makers on this squad. Interesting times we live in!

I predicted a 7-5 season, but nobody saw a complete breakdown like that. I believe Doc lost the team sometime during the 2nd half of the Akron game. I don't know what's going on in the locker room, but for sure, that wasn't a team effort. Appears there was a bunch of in-fighting going on within the troops, and that's never going to play out well, particularly if the troops aren't fond of their field general, which appeared to be the case from my viewpoint.
I'm guessing Doc will return, unless he chooses to step down on his own. He appeared a little burned out, but losing and things not going your way will do that to you, regardless of occupation.
It appears to be a total rebuild of the team on the horizon. The good news is that the conference isn't exactly the SEC, so you can rebound quickly by getting rid of the dead weight and potentially adding a few decent players that are all about the team.
I just hope he doesn't follow the basketball lead, and rebuild with a bunch of WV high school players.

I was at the Akron game and I've never seen a game /season seemingly turn on one play to the extent the sack/ fumble return for TD did in that game! We had a 10 point lead and the ball at midfield and were about to take total control of the game and boom, the lights went out for the entire season. I thought 8-4 before the season and like you think there are some problems in the locker room but more problems on the field, IMHO! Just no " War Daddies" as Coach Donnan called them on this team...no one that can change the scoreboard . Too many " just another guy" on this squad.
prime example what happens when making a knee jerk hire just to get a jab in at a team ya hate while having hopes you can pull off one win against said hated team because the hire has inside knowledge of said hated program.

Stop relying on NQs and props. In other words, Doc must go. He's not head coaching material. That's why he was never a head coach until Marshall screwed up by making him one.

Doc has to go. The guy was never a Head Coach for a reason. Think about it this way: When Pruett and Donnan were coaches if things started getting screwed up either one of them could have taken to the headsets and just ran the offense or defense by the way they wanted it ran. Could Doc EVER do such a thing? He has his extension, is making decent money and it looks like he just leaves everything to his offence or defensive coordinators. The guy is a train wreck.

No, had they thought of that, it would have been 120-0. Based on what I heard, the Marshall players weren't even attempting to play football. They would have been better served simply forfeiting the game, in hopes that C-USA would have kicked them out of the conference.
look on the bright side, at least they avenged that 3OT loss to MTSU from last year getting revenge with one of their 3 W's. i guess the only other positive is, well, the season's over. now, bring on another off season championship cause they ain't gonna have anything in round ball to get excited about!!!
Sorry about your season Tony ... many others I would give a hard time about it, but you're a good dude. Seasons like this suck. Our 3-8 season under RRod was miserable, especially since we lost to Temple that year. TEMPLE!! We at least had the promise of a new coach and could chalk it up to the transition. As far as you guys are concerned, I don't know where you go from here, or how clearly you can see a path out. That path will emerge somewhere though.

I also am a bit perplexed how Doc didn't see that we didn't have any players, that's supposed to be his strength as a coach...evaluating and getting personel.
