Now would be a good time to point out the obvious. Russia is having a hard time defeating Ukraine. So why are we defending Europe. The Soviet Union is dead and has been for decades now. It's past time for Europe to defend themselves.

They are. Ukraine has put up a good fight. However you are correct Russia is winning and always were if a peace deal isn't reached. Russia has the resources to AMP it up. If they did lots more would die. The bottom line is it's time for Europe to defend themselves. Two WW and a Cold War is enough. We can't afford it anymore.

Lie one.
Russian troops didn't cross the border until 2022, it was Kiev that began the War by assaulting their own people in 2014. In addition, Only 2 civilians died in the Russian operation to secure Crimea, the vast majority of Crimeans welcomed the Russians, which they had been part of up until 1954 and had voted to join previously.
Lie two
It was the Ukrainain Army that began shelling and bombing Donbass people's militias in 2014. The Russian army didn't intervene. There were zero Russian troops on the ground in Ukriane until 2022
Lie Three
Zelensky says "he signed a deal with Macron and Merkel in 2019, François Hollande later agreed (as did Merkel) the deal signed was to allow Ukraine to rebuild its army to face Russia in a larger war. Russia didn't break the deal. Ukraine did. Repeatedly according to the OSCE data, their bombardment of Eastern Ukriane increased hugely just prior to Russias intervention in 2022.
