Two weeks until college football starts...Louisville looks to

be the best bet Thursday evening!
You must be excite to play a team inside the top 25 as most of your schedule is made up of teams outside the top 100 and you don't play a top 25 team now vary often. We played 4 teams in October of 2015 that were rated higher than UL. Just saying

Once the season starts I'm only concerned with point spreads...I'll let you boys sweat of the inane details! In my world you either collect or pay!

Can't say about the spread, but you're likely to be 1-3 going into your conference slate.

It's like playing in the final edition of the old Big East. Play up in the OOC, and roll through the conference. Doc learned it from Stew.

I would agree we don't play top 25 teams at home very often, if ever ...played a bunch of them since we returned to I-A but on the road!

2-2 at worse but 3-1 ain't out of the question, IMHO! The nice thing is we will have a definite answer shortly!

I'll give you Morgan St.
Akron was in the top 100 last year, so that means you'll struggle, but you may pull it out.
Pitt and Louisville are both in top 75, which means you'll most likely lose since you haven't beaten anybody ranked that high in the regular season in a few years.

Akron was good last year, glad to see you boys recognize that ...but lost a bunch of players and have to invade the Joan!

MVU has played 11 games against top 25 teams in the last 10 years. The average score was 45 to 16 with MVU losing all 11. There has been a sharp drop in top 25 games since Doc has been scheduling.

I'm not as hard on Marshall for it's scheduling as I used to be, partially because I live close enough to Huntington to see what's happened since the old conference structures blew apart at that level. You've got to have a couple of Top-25 teams in your league to get those numbers up. Conference USA went to crap when the Big East imploded and the non-power conferences started playing musical chairs, with a couple of leagues grabbing the best teams left.

Everyone at the top of the G-5 leagues are trying to get in to P-5 leagues, or the best couple of G-5's, CUSA is probably 4th on that list currently. The coaches at that level are playing to win their conferences, get to a bowl and hope to be ranked at seasons end for recruiting purposes.

You can criticize those teams for not playing a string of T-25's in the OOC, but they'd be crazy to play more than one. Your conference season is what matters. You don't want to lose a quarter of of your starting lineup in money games in the OOC by playing two ranked P-5 teams in a single season at that level, it's suicide. Why throw the baby out with the bath water? Play one and hope for the best. If you don't pull the upset you're still going home with a better payday than most bowls you're playing for.

Mini U does have 4 game win streak against the Loserville dumb birds. But I only ask you for one thing and then I will go back to not caring about you Herd idiots.

Just beat sPitt!
