MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia University fans are invited to attend a celebration for the 2015 national-champion rifle team Tuesday, March 17, from 5 - 7 p.m., in Room 172 at the WVU Coliseum.
The Mountaineers (11-1, 8-0 GARC) and coach Jon Hammond will be available to greet fans and take pictures. Fans also will have the opportunity to take pictures with the team's nation-best 17th NCAA Championships trophy.
WVU shot 4702 and won its third straight NCAA title Saturday at Alaska-Fairbanks' Patty Center in Fairbanks, Alaska. The win is the team's fourth in nine years under coach Hammond. Senior Maren Prediger also won the 2015 NCAA air rifle title yesterday, becoming the 17th rifle student-athlete to claim a national title.
