If the Bears don't pull this out (currently down 9 under 10 minutes left) then this ain't a great start for the Big 12.

"Overrated" Big 12 vultures will be out in droves.

Baylor needs to pull it out. Iowa State won, Kansas is off to a good start. But 2-2 doesn't engender fear of the Big 12.

It's up to Friday's Big 12 teams to go undefeated.

Like the Big 10 often is in football... ...the Big 12 is/was overrated. People excuse losses because it was to another ranked team and it really taints the actual overall strength of the conference.

you don't have to be a vulture..I don't think there's been a B12 team in the elite 8 for at least three years.

As if there are no NCAA tournament upsets against 'strong' conference teams. Guess again. It happens every year.

An 8 vs. 9 loss is not an upset. Baylor's loss was an upset.

As was Purdue's. B1G overrated. Cancel your MSU, Iowa, Maryland, Indiana and closet Wisconsin and Michigan picks!

WVU, Oklahoma and Texas need to make the sheet read 5-2, XII.

Good thing WVU proved how good it was by at least finishing at the top right?

The mob is fickle, brother.

Recall the games from one week ago. Then recall night after night in Jan. & Feb.

Yale beating Baylor by four doesn't reverse the huge body of work put in all season among the league. Would Yale have won as many games as Baylor if they swapped schedules?

TX Tech barely made it in & Butler wins in this thing all the time.

No one's talking about the 105 points Kansas put up or how I-State handled Iona & is a win over Little Rock away from making the Sweet 16.

I can only guess you mean in the top tier...because we certainly didn't finish at the top. Why some people get their panties in a wad (about WVU) just because I started a discussion about the Big 12 (overall) is beyond me.

I'm rooting for Big 12 teams...so I think I can participate in this discussion without slandering our conference. The question is.... ...can some people just chat without feeling insulted by the small suggestion that having so many ranked teams in the same conference just might taint our view of the actual overall quality of the league (like I feel happens with Big 10 football)?

How bout that B1G!!!! Yes, every game defines a conference (until the next game).

When 13-loss Syacuse gets to the Sweet 16, that will prove the ACC still rules!!!

This board.

....like I previously expressed...

...some people just lack the ability to rationally participate in a reasonable discussion.

Rationality has NOTHING to do with saying a conference is overrated because of 2 tournament BB games....

NOTHING.

"The objective computers and all systems known to man CLEARLY overrated the Big 12....TEXAS TECH LOST TO A NINE SEED!!!!"
