Kristian Doolittle (Oklahoma) and Oscar Tshiebwe (West Virginia) earned their first Big 12 men's basketball weekly awards as Doolittle collected player of the week while Tshiebwe was recognized as the top newcomer.

Doolittle led the Sooners to a win over Oregon State with 19 points and a career-high 16 rebounds along with four assists. He closed the first half by scoring OU's final nine points, including the go-ahead bucket at the halftime buzzer. The senior forward made five of his final eight shots and sunk both of his 3-point attempts in the game.
