end the War on Coal. The recovery will be long and hard. But it has to start. Invest in clean coal technology rather than wasting billions upon billions on green energy that doesn't work at a price point that won't greatly harm individual and businesses.

Continue research on all forms of energy. That is the winning strategy.
 
So when do we expect Coal to be back at full production (ie pre war)

I honestly don't know what to expect. Many utilities have already invested heavily in new plant and equipment and mothballed coal burning plants. I assume that as demand grows, these old plants may be restored, but it will take years. But one immediate thing Trump can do to grow demand is to negotiate trade deals with big coal burning countries to help our companies sell coal overseas. Coal is still growing dramatically as a global fuel.

I also expect Trump to begin a new round of clean coal technology research.
