Track Continues Outdoor Season at Virginia Challenge[/B]
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (April 16, 2015) -[/B] The West Virginia University track and field team travels to Charlottesville, Virginia, for the Virginia Challenge from April 17-18.
The action will begin on Friday with the field events at 10 a.m., and conclude on Saturday night with the women's 10,000-meter run scheduled for 10:05 p.m.
The Mountaineers are just six days removed from their most-recent competition at the Mason Spring Invitational last Saturday.
Freshman Shamoya McNeil highlighted the action, placing second overall in the triple jump. The Jamaica native recorded a career-best jump of 12.39 meters, ranking her 32nd in the East Region in the event and sixth among all freshmen.
After this weekend, less than four weeks and just two competitions remain prior to the Big 12 Outdoor Track & Field Championships from May 15-17, at the Cyclone Sports Complex in Ames, Iowa.
