As tough as that basketball loss was nothing was worst than the 97 football loss at Notre Dame. Had them on the ropes up there. I don't dwell on the Fiesta bowl loss. Notre Dame dominated that game and I have spoken with some of the players who participated in that game. Notre Dame was just better.

I thought the football loss to Miami when Tremain Mack blocked the punt at the end of the game was worse. The tie with Pitt when we were up 31-7, or something like that, in the 2nd half was bad also.
As for the Fiesta Bowl, I will always believe that if Major had not gotten hurt on the 1st series we would have won that game. I have not had the luxury though of speaking with players on that team.
