basement! If Puig ever heats up and goes on a three week tear like he would when he wore Dodger blue, we might be a factor in the division, or am I just dreaming?

Yes, you're dreaming. Having stated this, the improvement in the Reds' pitching makes the good guys more competitive this season. The Cubs and the Brewers have too much for the Reds to overcome, but at least the Reds aren't totally overmatched.

Hahahahaha, brutal honesty! I agree we're a better team than we've been in a while but not ready for the Cubbies for a 162 games!

Marty Brenaman and Joe Nuxhall were lovers[poop]
Why would you spread such nonsense? What's next...you gonna tell us Johnny Bench played ping pong with Tony Perez all night on his wedding night? The ol' lefthander rounded third and headed for home , with a lady on his arm!

As were Waite Hoyt and Burger Beer. McMillen to Temple to Klu -- double play and out of the inning. Was Gene Freese the 3rd baseman on that team? Memory is failing.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I regret to this day never seeing a game at Crosley Field!

Holy sh!t, there are some ancient baseball fans on here. I started listening to the Reds as a kid in 1974, and my parents started taking me to games at Riverfront during the mid-1970s. IIRC, Hudepohl advertisements were played on the radio in the 1970s, but it was "Happy Hudy Time" by then. Jackson's Apple Jack was "the brew...the brew you chewed...happy hour flavor..." back then. Ahhhh, the memories of the good ole days, when the Reds were worth a sh!t.
