do recognize you play for your season on Saturday don't you? The King will not be in a Terp uniform Saturdaybut others will be, I don't want to see my hopes that the Mounties might actually win something of note this year dashed on the opening weekend! Let's goooo Mountiannnnneeeeeerrrrrsssssssss!

Real games begin Thursday night. Couple decent games to start the season, both on Thursday and Friday.

Michigan and WVU play back to back on ESPN, but I see where WVU is in the same time slot as the Herd on Saturday. Guess we can flip back & forth on that one, but thinking the Herd game will end an hour before the cousins game does, due to Navy running the clock on the ground.

These WVU fans here claim they don't like the King, and don't want him to post here, but every time he does, they immediately go nuts and start chiming in. Not sure what to make of that. I hear the same chatter, but they're always quick to log on and reply to anything I happen to post about.

it is fun to toy with "the king" and watch him go apoplectic....I think HCNB knows what this game means and he will have those fine young men ready to play

I do not dislike him at all and he can post here anytime as far as I am concerned. He is a bit delusional and prone to fits of temper now and then but those traits are all curable with help and time

Wait until Michigan beats them in football in November.

I don't know what to make of MU-Navy. Usually passing teams give the service academies fits but I don't know if we can throw the ball! The king does stir the pot! hahahahahahah

Should be a fun night here on the 'shed this coming Saturday night, particularly if Maryland has their way with the Big VIII school.

Also, keep your eye on Western Michigan-Michigan at noon. Could potentially be an upset (if you want to call it that). UM laying 17, and I feel that's way too many against a WMU team that will likely put up a bunch of points.

Don't know much about the Broncos...you seem to like the "over"?

I didn't pay any attention to the over, but figuring it's probably a high number, maybe in the mid to upper 60s. WMU has a lot of their offensive fire-power back from last year, so they should score. Just have no idea what Michigan's new defense will be like. Obviously, has to be at least as good as last year, which was god-awful. I wouldn't take the over, unless the line is like 60.

Just looked it up. WMU-UM is at 67 points. That's a lot of points, but Vegas knows how to set a line.

Ohio State-Minnesota is at 64.5 points, which is another tough one to pick. Thinking I would lean to the over there, based on the Gophers likely scoring 21-24 points, and OSU scoring 45 to 52.

Herd-Navy is at 47 points. Definitely wouldn't touch that one, as it's hard to tell which team will have their will against the other. If Navy dominates the run game, then the under will come into play.

I'd be pleasantly surprised, if the Buckeyes were to score that many points. I expect C.J. Stroud to make some mistakes in his first start at QB. Moreover, If TreVeyon Henderson, the phenom five-star freshman RB, plays a lot, then I could see him cough up a fumble, too, Eddie George-style. These guys and several others haven't played in front of a big college crowd before, so I expect some jitters.

Minnesota isn't very good this year, especially defensively. Hell, even Michigan scored 49 on them last year, with Joe 'Freaking' Milton at QB. Offensively, they can hold their own a bit. Only thing you got going against you, besides the new guys seeing their first big game action, is having to play in their house, at night, on a Thursday.

Still think the score will be similar to how Michigan played them last year (if not worse), and that was 49-24.

I'd be happy with that, but am thinking more like 31-27. Tony should take Minnesota and the 14 points.

If Navy can move the chains all day....we lose!

God, I hope you're wrong. Otherwise, I'm going to have to stick with the game until midnight on Thursday, and then feel like warmed over death at work on Friday morning.

It would be foolish for a team led by a brand new QB to take a B1G opponent lightly in a road game. Minnesota's defense should be improved, as it apparently returns 10 starters, and has added a transfer DT, who started for Clemson last season. The good news for Ohio State is that the Buckeyes have a lot of experience at every position, but QB and LB. The Offensive and Defensive Lines are experienced, huge, and talented, and that's where it all starts.
