Today the beginning of the end may of started with the last original member of C-USA leaving for the Sun Belt, Southern Miss. Where do you hope Marshall ends up landing, if you had to pick?
Back to the MAC...but I recognize I am in the minority on this issue!Today the beginning of the end may of started with the last original member of C-USA leaving for the Sun Belt, Southern Miss. Where do you hope Marshall ends up landing, if you had to pick?

The future is nebulous , no doubt! I could see 'bama and UGA tiring of splitting their money with the other members of the SEC not just Vandy as you suggested! I can see the abolishment of all conferences and everybody just cutting their own deals and not sharing any TV revenue. Who knows! There is still a major shift or re-shuffling going to happen in college football. Eventually the blue bloods will tire of carrying the Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Northwesterns of the football world and break away to create their semi-pro, pay the players league CPFL (college-pro football league). WVU, NCState, and the left behinds will be the “mid major” or CFL-a and the smaller G5 will be CFL-b.
Division one football will stand on it’s own, unrelated to the other sports or conferences. The only good would be that basketball could be set up regionally.
I can see this unless gambling doesn’t take it all down before then.
Sure, they don't usually bring much to the table in football but really what does Miss State bring to the table for the SEC in terms of revenue? If I'm 'bama, "screw all of you , tired of splitting our money with you".I was using Vandy, Wake Forest & North Western as examples of the weaker teams in every conference.
