You were Van '77?.....I was Scott '77.....wonder if we shared some weed together....the Boone county rivalries were fun back then....we ( including Sherman) were all AA...if you want to check someones Boone Co bona fides, ask them where Bob White is.....Even as a Van High alum ('77), I admit I wasn't excited when Gibby returned to WVU. Obviously, his energy, enthusiasm, and coaching abilities has long ago changed that opinion.
I often wondered if his departure and time at other places had matured him. This video seems to confirm that he learned where his passion lay and what was truly important to him and his family.
Welcome home, coach. Thanks to OP for sharing the video.
OK...that was just funny...love that movie...OK, better bona fides....Clinton Camp...or, up Pond Fork....Bob White???
You mean Old Man Whites Boy?
This is turning into That scene from Hot Shots part Deux with "Eagle River" Where we all find out we know one another somehow and have history. Lol
...up near Bim?.!!Okay, Die Hard, I grew up in the Freedie section of Van. If you know where that is, you truly are a die-hard Boone Countian.
Bet Gibby know where Freedie is located!
I remember my folks mentioning Bob White. I lived in Blue Pennant coal camp and Janie, suburbs of Whiteville until I was 10. Then moved to Ravenswood. I would have gone to Sherman High. You were Van '77?.....I was Scott '77.....wonder if we shared some weed together....the Boone county rivalries were fun back then....we ( including Sherman) were all AA...if you want to check someones Boone Co bona fides, ask them where Bob White is.....
