Now that Iowa State has upset #4/#3 Kansas, 85-72 on Monday night, WVU is one of 3 teams tied for first in the Big 12 with TWO losses in the Big 12.

3 other teams are tied with THREE losses.

So any of SIX of the 10 teams could win the Big 12, the toughest conference in America.

Doubt it? The Big 12 teams are 98-20 in non-conference games. That’s an 84% winning percentage against the outside world!

The bottom team in the Big 12 standings, TCU, is 8-4 in OOC games.

6 teams have 0 to 2 losses in non-conference games.

The Big 12 race is going to be brutal and bloody till the end.

And WVU has SIX games left this regular season against the top 16 teams.

Tuesday it’s Kansas State in Morgantown. The first time, WVU won 87-83 in TWO overtimes.

Then Florida, not a breather, in Gainesville, a sellout, on Saturday. I'm still trying to get a ticket via the secondary market, which are going for $150 apiece.

Then at Iowa State Feb. 2, Baylor in Morgantown Feb. 6 and at Kansas Feb. 9.

There’s no chance to take a break. WVU has to keep its Press Virginia energy at the maximum for every game.

That’s a tough task. Tougher than Huggins’ treadmill.

God, I love this team and this Big 12 season!

We definitely are going down a murderers row to finish the season. IMO Devin is the key to finish strong. If he can get back into his early season form and stay on the floor, we can finish strong and have a good chance at winning the conference title. He doesn't need to score as much as he did at the start of the season but he does need to be on the floor and play smart. Hopefully, he can play through all the double teaming and lead the team to our first b12 championship.
