...Rutgers has averaged 15.9 points per game so far this season, going 2-9. They have scored 73 points in their last 8 games, or 9.125 points per game. They have been shut-out 4 times this season, going back-to-back games twice without scoring.

They have given up 419 points through all games so far this year, 38 points per game. In their losses they have given up an average of 41.88 points per game. If that weren't bad enough opposing teams exceeded that average 4 times this season, Michigan scored 78 on the Scarlet Knights.

Their only wins this season are to Howard University (FCS) and New Mexico (Mtn West). They are 0-8 so far in the B1G.

I'm not trying to beat down our friends at Rutgers; just show a comparison to our current situation, which our former conference mates would probably kill for.

Rutgers sold out for the huge cash cow that is the B1G. Winning is no longer important. Getting that check is all that matters. To make it worse than it already is, Rutgers opened up New Jersey to Jim Harbaugh, who has raped them of their top recruits the last couple of years. What he hasn't acquired, PSU and Ohio State are snatching them up.

Let's be honest. That was already happening regardless of conference affiliation. Rutgers wasn't owning NJ or NY recruits.

I'll give you the paycheck comment. They are swimming in dough and probably won't care that fans will never show up to watch Rutgers again.
