I think It’s a full buyout. 100% of his salary for a couple more years. Then I think it’s only 85% for the last 2. Every paycheck he cashes reduces his buyout. If you fire him during the year then you’ll pay him and someone else to coach.
You either Pony up the buyout money and bring in a permanent replacement or you might as well keep him. Now if you fire his buddies like the O line coach and the Defensive coordinator then maybe he’d take a lower buyout to just go. I don’t think this administration will fire him. He will probably be here next year.

Full season. It is $13 million prior to the day after the last game. Then it reduces to $9 million after that. Still a LOT of money.
