I was sitting here by myself in a bar in Ft Worth, getting in a few quiet craft beers before gametime.
A little while later, 3 more Mountaineer fans walked in and sat down at the other end of the bar. Next thing I know, the young bartender is presenting me with a shot of Jameson--courtesy of the trio.
They didn't know me. They just wanted to share the experience.
Times like this are when I love our fanbase. I know there's a lot of arguing on these boards...I'm certainly guilty of my fair share. Still, I've always loved the fact that there is a ton of camaraderie in reality.
My guess is that most of us who are POed at each other here would be swapping drinks and tailgating together in real life.
So this is for all of you with whom I've argued: These boards sometime get hostile and/or misunderstood. I'm a part of that, I admit.
Still, I honestly believe most of us have the same goals. We just disagree at times on how to get there.
So in the spirit of togetherness, this is for everyone with whom I frequently disagree...LET'S GO MOUNTAINEERS!!!
