I moved back to Wheeling from Cincinnati just about 2 years ago to take care of my now 92 year old mom who has dementia. It’s been good journey as she’s sort of become a young kid. We have had fun together and I just go with the flow of each day and make sure she smiles. I’ve read that as people get closer to death they start to have dreams about the afterlife and being ready to die. That happened a couple weeks ago when she woke up in the middle of the night and told she just saw everyone. People she hadn’t seen for a long time. I just went up stairs to check on her and she was sleeping in her chair and she said she was ready to go. I won’t get into any more details. But have any of you had experience with this end of life occurrence?
