Eh, let's calm down. That was a GREAT win and we are definitely looking tougher than I thought we would but NC talk is a bit premature.
Long way to go and it is all about match ups. We can be beaten by a Virginia, thump a Virginia Tech, and see Virginia beaten by Virginia Tech. You need talent, depth, coaching, favorable match ups and luck. I would love to see a NC come to WVU before my time on earth is done.

Remember, this is "West Virginia".....we don't dare use the words "national title" or "high expectations". We should just be happy we competed with Kansas last night and they allowed us to win.....
Seriously though, too early to say how great this team will be. But I will say that this team is better than the Final Four team a few years ago.....

This team is starting to believe. When they believe 100%, they will be a very dangerous team come March.
Maybe 1-10, but DaSean was just "the man" down the stretch. Do we have anyone who can come close to replicating the way he carried us? He was a senior, a great player and had an amazing run of clutch performances
Asa might be ready by March, but I don't see anyone with that kind of potential besides him.
That being said.."Defense wins championships" is usually a football term, but this BBall team lives that motto.

And Paige/Carter were 9/19.....Philip really hurt the numbers by being 1/9.....
Well, to win the title you have to win 6 in a row, at least 5 of them against decent or better teams and at least 3 of them against excellent teams. That's EXTREMELY difficult no matter what, and I think it is fair to say we need to get better on offense to have a chance, even if we can win some games against excellent teams without an improved offense.
A question I have, and will be answered in time, is whether the emphasis on the dribble drives last night was based on a match-up specific thing Huggins saw or will become more of a staple.

keatons' stats are always either or both meaningless and erroneous. good to see others call him out
many of those misses were followed with trips to the free throw line. very efficient game from those 3.
