Why you ask?

Down year for cbb. Our 3 guard lineup is awesome, final four efficient. This team is improving each week.

Long way to go and it is all about match ups. We can be beaten by a Virginia, thump a Virginia Tech, and see Virginia beaten by Virginia Tech. You need talent, depth, coaching, favorable match ups and luck. I would love to see a NC come to WVU before my time on earth is done.

"final four efficient"

yikes.............. we shot 33% from the field last night.

if anything, we still are not efficient in the least.... but our defense is flawless.

Remember, this is "West Virginia".....we don't dare use the words "national title" or "high expectations". We should just be happy we competed with Kansas last night and they allowed us to win.....;)

Seriously though, too early to say how great this team will be. But I will say that this team is better than the Final Four team a few years ago.....[thumbsup]

Maybe 1-10, but DaSean was just "the man" down the stretch. Do we have anyone who can come close to replicating the way he carried us? He was a senior, a great player and had an amazing run of clutch performances

the lineup with phillip, carter, and paige was very efficient

Asa might be ready by March, but I don't see anyone with that kind of potential besides him.

That being said.."Defense wins championships" is usually a football term, but this BBall team lives that motto.

Lets see what happens in Norman.

i think paige is clearly emerging as that goto guy. but this a different team. this team is more balanced.

shooting 7 for 28 from the field is not efficient.......... it's 25%

More like 10-28 (35.7%).......not great, but better than the stats you posted. Thought someone like you could get the right stats since you are a "high information" fan. [thumbsup]

And Paige/Carter were 9/19.....Philip really hurt the numbers by being 1/9.....

Well, to win the title you have to win 6 in a row, at least 5 of them against decent or better teams and at least 3 of them against excellent teams. That's EXTREMELY difficult no matter what, and I think it is fair to say we need to get better on offense to have a chance, even if we can win some games against excellent teams without an improved offense.

A question I have, and will be answered in time, is whether the emphasis on the dribble drives last night was based on a match-up specific thing Huggins saw or will become more of a staple.

keatons' stats are always either or both meaningless and erroneous. good to see others call him out

many of those misses were followed with trips to the free throw line. very efficient game from those 3.

85.3 PPG...11th nationally

Among BXII
Scoring margin...1st
Offensive Rebs...1st
Scoring offense...4th
Assists...4th
FG %...5th

Defense isn't all this team does.
