That was the comment of my nephew.
He’s a Chillicothe, Ohio kid. I started taking him to games when he was in junior high school.
He is like most Ohio kids in that he’s a 0$U fan. But he’s been to enough games at both WVU and 0$U to know that the atmosphere in Morgantown is far superior to that in Columbus.
He played at an Ohio athletic conference college until he messed up his shoulder. Getting married, having kids, and moving to the Cleveland area prevented him from getting the chance to attend a game with me.
As we sat there waiting for kickoff last night he turned to me and said, “this is a special place.”
We left with about 4 minutes to go. We both had enough.
