Duke can take down UK because Duke can neutralize the officiating.
UK is way too talented. When they have the officiating, it's impossible to beat them. Must neutralize the officiating which weakens their armor. Then you can chip away, bit by bit. Duke has the talent too, not as deep as UK but their starting 5 is tough too. And they have a few solid guys who come off the bench, but they are only about 7-8 deep. Then add in Coach K who is the greatest ever.
Hopefully Duke makes it to the Championship game. Really want to see UK lose. It's perfect seasons or bust for them.
You think this 39 point loss is hard on us? It's nothing compared to the meltdown that will occur if UK somehow stumbles and loses. And if that happens, it will be a glorious day.

Sounds like the same garbage I listened to all week about how UK will get eaten up by "Press Virginia"..LOL!
The Cats arent unbeatable, one hot team from 3 could beat them. But they have to play better D than WVU and anyone else UK has played this year. Duke, Wisconsin and Arizona could beat UK...nothing is impossible. But this game will be remembered for a long time. Players talked smack, fans talked smack....ended up hurting you in the long run.
You're not fooling anyone, 2-face. Everyone knows about UK's arrogance which is why a loss would bring down the epic meltdown.
Duke, UNC, Yankees, Patriots, Lakers, etc fans don't even compare when it comes to UK's arrogance. You guys are on a total different level of arrogance and smug.
Refs? You mean the refs that fouled out the potential #1 pick in the draft and held him to 13 minutes and 2 points? WVU could play UK 10 times and lose all 10 by double digits. UK has too much quality depth and you guys can't make enough 3's to stay in the game. I love the defense and the rebounding, Huggy Bear needs to get out and recruit some shooters. We UK fans are still not over the loss in the Elite 8 with John Wall and Co. UK wins the title that year if they win that game. So forgive the payback, it's been a while coming.

The officiating was bad. With our style of defense we have little chance against practically anybody (let alone this KY team) if the refs are going to call it that tight. How can you press and play smothering defense if a foul gets called anytime anybody is even touched? (and sometimes not even touched, the one block on Holton by the KY player was about as clean as it could ever get) But the refs didn't make us shoot 20% either and KY's defense didn't have as much to do with that as us just not shooting well.
And yet here you are. You had to make a concerted effort to come to the board and read the comments of WV fans talking on a WVU board to then turn around and say we talk to much?

If you think we're seeking validation from mountaineer fans, the I don't know what to tell you. There is definitely animosity there from how your team reacted after the fluke win in Syracuse in 2010. But you're not even a blip on our radar. We're 9-1 against you in the past 10 meetings and you don't have any NCAA titles. Not to mention we just obliterated you by 39. We're not threatened by you.

ah, the derogatory statements from the j**ass. The point is to have a fair game and the refs were bad. (even the commentators were shocked at the foul calling from the start of the game) And it was bad in a way that totally made one team unable to play their style while only minimally impacting the other team. Nothing was said about one team needing to play down. Kentucky fans just showing what jerks you are. The point of being on TV is for entertainment but only is the context of best effort by both teams, fair play and good referring. The poor referring made for a bad game even if the final outcome was not altered.

Here's a novel idea. Some fan bases like to discuss sports and aren't afraid to go to an opponent's message board (the name of the website IS RIVALS - the entire concept was to set up as a network of discussing sports with opposing fans) to see how bad their fans think they are going to beat them.

Yes Crazy is right. There is a main board where anyone can post in a rivalry free for all (thus the name) and there are team boards where the team controls access thus not meant to be a free for all by design. Expecting certain standards of behavior from visitor's on a team's message board is part of the design.
