The underneath passing game needs a little more

Struggled in 1st half. Receivers were open. SH over threw passes in the middle of the field. I counted 6 over throws in 1st half and 2 in 2nd half ( Shorts climbed the ladder and made a great catch on one over thrown pass. SH did a better job in 2nd half.
I'm also worried about some of the throws that were completed were under thrown. Those passes will not be completions in conference play. That being said, it was just the 1st game and our O will get better as the season progresses.
Also, seemed like there were a few times SH had the outlet/checkdown RB or Cody Clay wide open in the flat instead of trying to force it downfield and he never looked over. But, SH did play better in the second half for sure and it was only game 1.
