The line on Saturday's game is...

Dana to pour it on, much more than 8. 45-10...never in doubt. Big Trap game for Tech after yesterday's match

Tech +8, please.

The title contenders in this conference aren't shutting down the Red Raider offense. Somehow I doubt we'll be the first.

This is a huge game for WVU.

We will know after this game what we really have.

Was it four really good teams that beat us. Or is WVU really as bad as some people claim.

You are right, after this game we will know if we are a mediocre power conference team or a bottom feeder. This team would not be leading the AAC. Wow, how times have changed.

Respectfully I think you're wrong on this one! Believe it or not if WVU played in the Coastal Division I would have them right there with UNC, Pitt, Duke and Miami! I really think WVU would be 6-2 in the Coastal wherever that would place them. The AAC looks fine playing eachother but would struggle if they played week in and week out in a major conference. There good but we'll never know. A bowl game or a one time non conference game like Memphis had with Ole Miss doesn't prove much usually. WVU is solid but they just are not top 20 team and that's what October was about. We are going to see if HCDH has lost the team or not! I expect him to get them ready for an underrated last few games. Texas, Texas Tech and Kansas St are legit top 30-40 teams! It will not be easy! I'll be at the WVU/Texas game hoping the horns go home losers!

Solid teams do not get blown out the way we have even against top teams. We have looked completely unprepared to play these teams.

I said a while ago...this Texas Tech game is the most important game of the year. We all expected to win the first three. Those of us with a brain hoped we would win a game in the next four, but expected 4 losses. The real danger now is losing the team. Win saturday and it is off to the races with a successful season and a respectable bowl. My 9 win season prediction is still in play.

9 wins...possible...NOT probable. Is this a team that can put together a 6 game winning streak???
Only time will tell...stay tuned to The Holgerson Network

I was at the TCU game and the team was just not motivated at all. You could see it from warm ups to watching the players on the sideline. A lot of things will have to happen to make this a team capable of a 6 game winning streak. We are a very undisciplined football team. Surely, you can see that.

Oklahoma and Baylor shut them down pretty well as did Kansas - the common denominator here is they were all road games.
Oklahoma I will give you, Woody. You may want to compare what both TT and WVU did against the conference's big four, who are our only common opponents so far:

TT v. TCU = 52 points, 84 plays, 607 yards, 7.23 yards/play
WVU @ TCU = 10 pts, 76 plays, 327 yds, 4.30 yds/play

TT v. Baylor (in Arlington) = 35 pts, 89 plays, 636 yds, 7.15 yds/play
WVU @ Baylor = 38 pts, 83 plays, 471 yds, 5.67 yds/play

TT @ Oklahoma = 27 pts, 85 plays, 425 yds, 5.00 yds/play
WVU @ Oklahoma = 24 pts, 85 plays, 369 yds, 4.34 yds/play

TT v. Oklahoma St = 53 pts, 94 plays, 642 yds, 6.83 yds/play
WVU v. Oklahoma St = 26 pts, 98 plays, 443 yds, 4.52 yds/play

Texas Tech has been held under 576 yards just twice in 9 games, by Arkansas and Oklahoma. The 27 points the Red Raiders scored against the Sooners is their only time under 30 so far.

Conversely, WVU has exceeded 576 yards just once, against Maryland. More alarmingly, in 3 of our 4 conference games we've been held under 27 points which is TT's lowest point total of the year.

WVU is still winless all-time (0-11) in Big 12 games when scoring under 30 points, so Holgorsen needs to find a way to get it up cranked up again in a hurry unless we somehow come up with the defensive performance of the year.

I don't know what I find more disturbing--the fact that we're only 11-9 in conference games when we do score 30+...or the fact that we've been held under 30 points more than 1/3 of the time in such a defense-optional league.

Let's get this straight. WV is not a bad team. They are in fact a very good team that has ran into very stiff opposition in the last four games. These four teams were nationally ranked (Top 5) when WV played them. What in the hail do you expect out of this very good WV team? You want to upset the best of the best? Get over it!

Lets look at this way, we have had 4 opportunities to upset one of the 4 top teams in the conference and failed in each instance. We got blown out in three of them. These were not the top 4 teams in the country, just the top 4 in our own conference. You would think we would find a way to win at least one of them. So in answer to your question, I do think it is not too much to ask that a head coach in his 5th season, finds a way to beat one of the 4 best teams in his own conference. Otherwise, we are wasting our time.

You are way off! This is far from a very good team! Anyone calling this WVU team very good loses all credibility by normal people that aren't bias! This team is solid that can win 7 or 8 games! Come back here EER in 4 weeks and defend your thesis! WVU goes 4-0 and win 9 games I'll listen to WVU is a good team! Win 8 games argue that WVU is a solid team! win 6 or 7 games and admit that WVU sucks and stop wasting our time!
