which is more that I can say for the flagship......lots of "fixing" needs to be done before next year, but it will happen
Yes, we won a thing of beauty!which is more that I can say for the flagship......lots of "fixing" needs to be done before next year, but it will happen
The 10 day break may help us a little but who knows! We're not very good inside so tough to win games.
Cousins won't win again this season in hoops...guess we'll find out what they're packing in baseball.WV closing the gap. Only lost by 14 last night.
College baseball is worthless, IMHO, but I recognize that other's might enjoy it! At MU we have limited funds to spend on athletics anyway so money spent on baseball seems like a total waste to me.I'd be for just dropping the sport!Baseball smack????? You boys are getting desperate. One would think that our basketball woes would be enough to keep you satisfied.

I am not a fan of any organized team...I am a Cincinnati Reds fan!I'm not a baseball fan regardless of what level it's played at, but I did go to one WVU home baseball game. Mostly just to see what the Mon County ball park was like. It's a beautiful facility with easy access to the interstate and plenty of parking.
Me either but seems like we've occupied the basement forever! Hopefully our pitching has improved since last year, our everyday players aren't that bad.I have tickets to see two Reds/Padres games in San Diego over Easter Weekend, Tony. As a teenager and young adult, I attended 15-20 games a season at Riverfront. The Reds usually suck, but I can't change my favorite team now.
Just like to see us be relevant in June for change...I guess this is payback for the Big Red Machine and the Nasty Boys! The starting pitching is better with the three new additions, but the rest of the Division, other than the Pirates, have improved themselves since last season, so we'll probably have to battle with the Buccos for fourth place.
that could very well be true unless they steal one in the B12 tournamentCousins won't win again this season in hoops...guess we'll find out what they're packing in baseball.
tell the folks down there to drink more pop...isn't heroington the nation's fattest city anyway....what's a few more caloriesCollege baseball is worthless, IMHO, but I recognize that other's might enjoy it! I just don't think they have any fight left in them...Huggs will just burn the barn down when the season ends! Whole new team in 2019-20!Nobody left on WVU's schedule, other than Iowa State, is playing really well right now. I would not be surprised if WVU beat TCU at home or won a road game vs. Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, or even Baylor, which is scuffling now. Of course, WVU sucks, and is atrocious away from Morganhole, so there's that. If only tHuggs could bully the zebras on the road as much as he gets away with it at home...
Pop tax is a travesty....but looks like we're going to build a baseball stadium ( White Elephant but nobody asked me), Thursday Press conference. If only Marshall could convince the Cabell County Commission to start a tax on disposable hypodermic syringes and dedicate those funds to a baseball park, it could be paid for quickly. Kinda like the pop tax that benefits our medical school, but capable of generating much more revenue !
Eric could run ,throw, cover Center field, hit for average , hit for power. Not many like him!I think that it's the Eric Davis curse...the Reds haven't been the same since Marge Schott left an injured Eric the Red in Oakland after the World Series sweep in 1990.

True....but if I had my way there wouldn't be any baseball games of any kind.I hope they do get a ball park of their own..........damned shame they have to drive 60 miles for "home" games.
Pop tax is a travesty....
Not much since I live in Frankfort,KY....but if I buy a soft drink in Huntington, seems unfair that ALL of the tax goes to WVU Medical School and nothing to MU Medical School! Yeah, Yeah, I know it's good to be King! The pop tax might cost me in the neighborhood of a dollar and a half a year. How big of a dent does it put in your budget?

...and Four Roses Distillery is just 5 minutes down the road, Wild Turkey just 10. Thanks for the case of Coca-Cola, no doubt would ruffle my feathers!I spent 3 nights in a Hampton Inn in Frankfort last summer...........I don't remember the interstate exit number but there was a Lowe's,Wal-Mart, Chili's, and Steak and Shake adjacent to the motel. Snow Sled Baby would have loved it since the Buffalo Trace distillery was just up the road. If I had known you lived in Frankfort I would have brought you a case of your favorite soft drink with the WV state tax stamp on the top of every can just to ruffle your feathers.
you striped yellow dog you....THAT close.....:scream:I spent 3 nights in a Hampton Inn in Frankfort last summer...........I don't remember the interstate exit number but there was a Lowe's,Wal-Mart, Chili's, and Steak and Shake adjacent to the motel. ray:ray:ray:Sorry ole pal, but we were on such a tight schedule that we didn't have time to visit any stops along the bourbon trail, much to my regret. Maybe next time I'm down that way.......
