Opening at Penn St. with a loss is not noteworthy. It was expected.

But so is a win next week, along with a smattering of wins and losses that leave the program in a state of continued insignificance.

We aren’t going to change program trajectory under Brown. We know what we have in him. Deep down he does too. And it simply isn’t good enough to compete at the highest levels.

So we wait for change - knowing it is but a hopeful passage back to the place where we’ve been before, but without guarantees.

The only certainty is like that of an alcoholic. Until changes are made, matters will only get worse.

How long can this go on?
