I honestly don't think it's a talent issue. Aside from a player or two in the secondary the talent is there, but it's coaching. I know you guys hate Pruett, but if he were coaching this team I'd feel much better. I can not remember a time around this game where I've been left wondering just WTF was that, or why the hell did he call that?
How did it take Legg an entire half to figure out PITT has the 125th ranked passing defense? I found that on ESPN app myself.

My buddies now all understand and agree why WVU fans hate Pitt fans so much. It is sad because most everyone at the stadium was nice enough but th asshole sitting behind us apparently didnt realuze that Marshall and WVU were different schools and kept running his mouth to everyone around us about the time Pitt beat you guys to keep them out of the national title game. He kept complaining about the Big 12 refs. I got to the game at halftime after sprinting from mountaineer field. By midway through the 3rd he had started back into talking about inbreds from WV and their webbed feet. I decided to have a talk with him to explain the situation. He seemed shocked when he learned that guys like me and my group didnt put up with that kind of nonesense and he didnt realize the danger he was puting himself into with his offensive rants. I told him that while I am sure he thought he was impressing that sorta fat 5 sitting next to him that she would appreciate what inbreeding did for her after hanging with real men for the evening. He never shut up but his buddy kept him from pushing it the rest of the night.
My buddies were told by an usher that we would all be ejected for standing up and cheering because "this isnt Marshall" and we shouldnt stand unless everyone else stood. It was sad because they only stood up to cheer the defense on one third down and the ushers scolding was inly a byproduct of Marshall cutting the score to 10 and getting the ball back. Pitt sucks and they really hate losing to WV and apparently it doesnt matter which color t-shirt we were wearing.

I mentioned Pitt's weakness on pass coverage in my weekend prediction thread, I was also surprised that Marshall never tried to take advantage of it earlier. I agree that punting on the Pitt side of the 50 was a mistake, especially considering there was nothing to lose at the time by going for it on 4th. I guess that's why those coaches are stuck in CUSA instead of coaching in a P5 conference.
