Serious question. When was the last time WVU football was picked to finish last in a preseason poll?

Never as far as I can remember.

Last season they were picked 8th with TCU 7th, Texas Tech 9th and Kansas 10th.

Preseason polls are lame and rarely correct.

What do they base these silly predictions on? Previous season. I don't believe in preseason polls. Games must be played first. Just ask TCU and all the bounces that went their way in 2022.

Can WVU finish last? With this staff they would have difficulty winning the MAC.

With the results from yesterday, it’s pretty clear preseason polls don’t mean much. No way I can see us finishing last. Sure, it was a grind out win against arguably the ugliest team in all of sports, but there were a lot of positives.

There was a lot to be desired in several other Big XII games. Outside of Texas, and we’re not sure how good they are given Bamas performance against USF, those rankings seem to be all over the place.

This is definitely a season Neil Brown can save his job and get something done.

The good thing about Neal saving his job is the buyout will be even cheaper next year. It's going to have to be winning seasons for the next 3 to 4 years before I will claim Neal Brown as climbing again. Right now he's still looking for a ladder.

He beats Texas tech next week I’ll give him a step stool.
