Hopefully they can work out a game for this weekend, which would basically serve as a play-in game, assuming Ohio State would easily dismiss Northwestern the following week, or potentially Michigan, since the B1G could allow Indiana to play in the title game, just as a stupid compromise.

If I were Texas A&M, I would at least make it public that they're willing to play them, just to give them some street cred when it comes to selection Sunday. Since they're currently 5th in the rankings, they could always use the 'we tried to play them but they were scared' tactic, in hopes of securing the final spot.

B1G screwed this whole thing up, so they have no one to blame but themselves. Personally, if ever there was a year to expand the playoff, this would have been the year. The corona bros would have gone apeshit, but screw them. Hopefully, playoffs will be expanded soon, as well as splitting up the D1 into two divisions of football.

Texas A & M would have nothing to lose in this situation, but Ohio State would have a whole lot to lose with a loss, given the current rankings. I'd like to see the game played because A & M's offense isn't good enough to hang with the Buckeyes, but it won't happen.

I agree. The conference is the only ones at fault here, but what does that signal to everyone else in the conference if OSU gets special treatment when they wouldn’t allow the few schools that wanted to play independent back in August?

OSU was one of the "few schools" that wanted to play in August, Coach. The "special treatment" argument is laughable when your awful conference leadership trumps up bad rules as it goes along. The minimum six game requirement for B1G Championship Game eligibility, ban of nonconference games when conference games are canceled, and decision to start the season so late, without any bye weeks, were arbitrary and idiotic. The B1G had better give Ohio State "special treatment" or lose a lot of TV $$$.

I am well aware that Ohio State was wanting to play, as well as the piss poor set up put in place.

But as you can clearly see and understand; it’s all about the money. I have been saying it all along. Make sure to pass it along to the Herd faithful when they want a game in Huntington vs WVU.

I almost never care about the Herd, Coach. However, I will be rooting against Marshall on Sunday, and I'll let you figure out as to why.

if tosu is scared tell them to get a dog......I've herd that somewhere before

Correct. I'd actually like to attend, and see this whiz kid Jason Preston play for the Bobcats, but I doubt that fans are allowed at Marshall's arena.
I watched him almost single handedly beat Illinois. In fact, they should have won that game. Where is he from, and how in the world did he end up in Athens, as opposed to a powerhouse program? Under the radar type player? He was unstoppable against an Illinois team that's really good, and a potential final four team.

The best part of the story is that Preston had to post Twitter videos just to get a sniff from any school, and then only Ohio and Longwood offered him a scholarship. The kid is a walking "stat-sheet stuffer," and commits very few turnovers to boot. The Bobcats were extremely lucky to get him.
