Way too early, but TCU's early start looks strong.

Oklahoma State struggled way too much against Central Michigan, a MAC team.

If WVU can figure out how to beat Oklahoma, Baylor and TCU, it could be a miraculous October.

Meanwhile, let's take care of GaSo, Liberty and Maryland first.

Okla State & TCU looked sort of underwhelming, but Ws are Ws. Both on road. Credit Minnesota for hanging in there, although TCU led whole way & was never in real danger.

Boykin did get 338 total yards & 2 TDs. TCU held MN to 4/15 on 3rd down.

Not an auspicious start for Big 12, but 2-0 is 2-0.

TCU and Ok State will both improve from their first games, but neither performance last night was award worthy. Oklahoma State seemed to fool around with a directional MAC school in Michigan and did just enough to win while the passing game at Minnesota looked like an average high school team at times . . . bouncing passes to receivers, poorly timed pass plays, etc.

yeah both TCU & OSU looked out of sync & frankly, not ready to play. not flat from effort measure, just oddly not clicking on offense. I don't think it has to do with juggernaut defenses faced. first game in months doldrums.

S.Car-N.Car game was similar. Utah I thought was ready to roll & sharp. Their D pretty well dominated Michigan.

I don't think a ton can be taken out of last night. the quality of those wins all depends on what Minn and Cent Mich go on to do next.

TCU didn't scare anybody last night. They'll probably drop in the rankings a spot or two after that game. Run defense isn't the best, but they're good. Wouldn't want to play them in November. The Big 12 image for the week will ride on what Texas does in South Bend. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Strong's team goes in there and wins.
