Inflation doesn't affect people who have more than enough money. For the other 90% of people who can't absorb a 25% higher budget it is pretty brutal.
@sammyk just curious what metric you are looking at so i can compare it to gold or bitcoin (hard currencies) instead of USD

Small cap and indexed funds (tied to inflation) are getting hammered. PE ratios are down. Corporate earnings are underperforming. Venture capital is non existent. No one is expanding, and everyone is laying off to cut labor expenses because of sky high energy and raw material costs. @sammyk is a "Motley fool" on the economy.

You can tout the market if you like, but by a wide margin, people don’t believe the economy is healthy and they have far more faith in Trump to fix it.
The debate is acknowledged even by NPR to not have moved the needle and Harris’s internal polling is terrifying her campaign.

If you were to ask what caused me to change my tune about President Trump from 2016 to 2020, I could give you a few reasons. But what we're seeing in Springfield really drives it home.
