Stanford cuts 11 varsity sports from athletics department due to 'limited financial resources'

Stanford University announced Wednesday that it will cut nearly one-third of its Division I sports programs at the end of the 2020-21 academic year as the COVID-19 crisis has threatened to worsen an already existing athletics department deficit. What happens when all college sports are cancelled this fall?

Will coaches be let go because they can no longer pay them.
 
It may never get back to normal after all this dumb shit!!!
 
This is why Stanford always wins the directors cup. Now, without ping pong, lawn darts, and bocce ball, maybe another school may end up dethroning them.
 
If this move is due to finances, it is about as hypocritical as it gets. Stanford has an endowment large enough to fund a developed country.
 
They have to be able to pay for all those social workers and the safe spaces for snowflake students...
