We all know every team in the country makes a conscious effort to keep their team (offense especially) as vanilla as possible. Is it also plausible that there is a plan in place prior to the game to use your real playmakers sparingly, so as to not give teams any film on specific guys skill sets, or maybe how much their game has grown? I mean Traylon Ray got essentially one target all game, and at the very end just comes up with 4 catches one on drive.

Basically my question is, are the personnel told the same thing as the play callers prior to the game?
“We’ve had 15 practices, we know what you can do. There’s no need for you to put your whole skill set on tape for other teams just to get open against a 3rd string corner

Just seems every year it’s guys like Clay Ash who are featured so heavily and playing at 100% while guys like Jaden Bray and and Traylon Ray seem to be just kind of going through the motions and holding back.
