Pheonix (Az.) PHH Prep 2024 Carmelo Adkins told me that overall the trip was amazing and he couldn't have asked for anything better. He was able to go out to eat and spend time with the staff which was great as well as get to know the rest of the team. The coaching staff is targeting him as a guard and the coaches like how he can space the floor. He has the size to guard anywhere from the 1 to the 3 and also can create for his teammates. What he told me is that what stood out the most to him was the fan base and how they support the team. Jordan McCabe is his lead recruiter and fans still embrace him which stood out to him because he was a former player. The Mountaineers made him feel at home and he was also highly impressed with the facilities as they had everything he could want as a player. He will head to UC Santa Barbara and UT Arlington next and would like to have a decision sometime in November.
